The 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari Uganda will take you to an Unforgettable Experience in the Wild. Queen Elizabeth National Park dubbed as “The Medley of Wonders” got its name during the commemoration of the Queen of England’s visit to Uganda Queen Elizabeth II in 1954. The park has a variety of offerings ranging from a visit to the Salty lake in Katwe, various mammal species of about 95  like the tree climbing lions at Ishasha sector, the 4 members of the Big 5 for instance Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, Lions among other species like Antelopes, spotted hyenas, Hippos and endangered chimpanzees.  Furthermore, the park also offers over 600 bird species to the birders like the grey crowned crane, handsome francolin, martial eagle, grey crowned heron among others and also an insight of the Nile crocodiles, Giant Hippos at Kazinga channel.

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe International Airport or your Hotel – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a Stopover at the Equator at Kayabwe

Day 1 of the 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari Uganda starts with a pick up from Entebbe International Airport or at your Hotel. Our professional driver guide from Bonobos African Safari Holidays will meet and greet you; he will then brief you about the entire journey and thereafter embark on the scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. This drive will take about 8 to 10 hours including a stopover at the Equator line at Kayabwe where you will have the famous water experience, balancing an egg on the nail and taking memorable pictures while standing on both the Northern and the Southern Hemispheres. You will then continue to Igongo cultural center or Ajip Motel in Mbarara for a delicious lunch and later proceed to Queen Elizabeth National park with  an enroute game drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Early Morning Game drive OR Optional Experiential lion and leopard Tracking – Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

Day 2 of your 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari Uganda will begin with an early morning breakfast and thereafter you will head out to the jungle to search for the various mammal species that inhabit Queen Elizabeth National Park like Antelopes, Hippos, bush pigs, sitatungas, topis, bushbucks, cape buffaloes, elephants among others.

 

Optional Experiential lion and leopard Tracking

OR You can Opt for an Experiential Lion and Leopard Tracking Experience in the Northern sector of the park “Kasenyi plains” which goes for an Extra $250 per person, while here, you will have an opportunity to drive off track while tracing a pride of lions and the leopards of the park. This Experience takes you beyond the usual game drive  since you get to learn about their population, behavior, life style and also any other information concerning them. Experiential Lion and Leopard Tracking is done with Researchers who drive around the Park with Radiation trackers which help them to find lions that have radio collars around their Neck, Trackers here can drive off truck in order to find the predators whenever the signals would be directing.

 

Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

After a great time in the jungle, you will return back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch, later in the afternoon proceed for another ultimate experience on the Kazinga channel while cruising.  While on the cruise, you will view the herds of hippos taking in water, elephants drinking water on the banks of the Kazinga channel, Nile crocodiles resting in the shade at the shores and also various bird species like the martial eagle, grey crowned crane, African green pigeon, and handsome francolin among other bird species. After that, you will return back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest – Drive back to Entebbe International Airport or your Hotel                 

On the final day of the safari, wake up for a heavy breakfast as you hear the sounds of the singing birds in the sky, you will then proceed for chimpanzee tracking experience in the Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu forest.  This exciting adventure will take you deep into the forest, here you will encounter different bird and butterfly species, Furthermore, and you will also be on the lookout for fascinating primates in their natural habitat. Meanwhile, after the chimpanzee tracking then head back to Entebbe International Airport or your Hotel with a stopover at Mbarara City or Ajip hotel for a hot lunch. Meanwhile, this entire drive will take approximately 8 to 10 hours including a lunch stop over.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Zürich, Switzerland

We’ll meet at 4 p.m. at our hotel in Luzern (Lucerne) for a “Welcome to Switzerland” meeting. Then we’ll take a meandering evening walk through Switzerland’s most charming lakeside town, and get acquainted with one another over dinner together. Sleep in Luzern (2 nights). No bus. Walking: light.

Day 2Zürich–Biel/Bienne–Neuchâtel–Geneva

Enjoy an orientation walk of Zurich’s OLD TOWN, Switzerland’s center of banking and commerce. Then, leave Zurich and start your Swiss adventure. You’ll quickly discover that Switzerland isn’t just home to the Alps, but also to some of the most beautiful lakes. First, stop at the foot of the Jura Mountains in the picturesque town of Biel, known as Bienne by French-speaking Swiss, famous for watch-making, and explore the historical center. Next, enjoy a scenic drive to lakeside Neuchâtel, dominated by the medieval cathedral and castle. Time to stroll along the lake promenade before continuing to stunning Geneva, the second-largest city in Switzerland, with its fantastic lakeside location and breathtaking panoramas of the Alps.

Day 3Enchanting Engelberg

Our morning drive takes us from Swiss lakes to Swiss Army. At the once-secret Swiss army bunker at Fortress Fürigen, we’ll see part of the massive defense system designed to keep Switzerland strong and neutral. Afterward, a short drive into the countryside brings us to the charming Alpine village of Engelberg, our picturesque home for the next two days. We’ll settle into our lodge then head out for an orientation walk. Our stroll through the village will end at the Engelberg Abbey, a Benedictine monastery with its own cheese-making operation. You’ll have free time to wander back before dinner together. Sleep in Engelberg (2 nights). Bus: 1 hr. Walking: light.

Day 4Interlaken Area. Excursion to The Jungfrau Massif

An unforgettable trip to the high Alpine wonderland of ice and snow is the true highlight of a visit to Switzerland. Globus Local Favorite At an amazing 11,332 feet, the JUNGFRAUJOCH is Europe’s highest railway station. Jungfrau’s 13,642-foot summit was first ascended in 1811 and in 1912 the rack railway was opened. There are lots of things to do here: enjoy the ALPINE SENSATION, THE PANORAMA 360° EXPERIENCE, and the ICE PALACE. Also receive your JUNGFRAU PASSPORT as a souvenir to take home with you. The round trip to the “Top of Europe” by MOUNTAIN TRAIN will take most of the day.

Day 5Lake Geneva and Château de Chillon

It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.
