9 Day Big Cats Safari Explore five of the best National parks in Kenya. Amboseli has unique landscape with wide variety of wildlife and clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Maasai Mara National Reserve:

Detailed itinerary for big cats safari

Day 1: Arrival JKIA – Nairobi Hotel

On the day of your arrival,9Day Big Cats Safari you’ll meet with our driver representative at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) where you shall be briefed about your safari program. After short briefing, you will be moved to your hotel in Nairobi booked on bed & breakfast for overnight stay.

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Afterward early morning breakfast at the hotel, depart Nairobi and proceed to Amboseli National park arriving in the afternoon for lunch. Furthermore, Amboseli has special view with wide variety of wildlife and clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Then in the evening you’ll have a game drive. Finally, dinner and overnight will be at the camp/lodge.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park

Furthermore, you’ll go for early morning game drive, with a big chance to view the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Then return to the camp/lodge for breakfast,9Day Big Cats Safari rest and later in the afternoon have lunch at the camp/lodge.

Later in the evening, enjoy game drive in the park known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. While, observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps.

Day 4: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park#9Day Big Cats Safari

After breakfast, 9Day Big Cats Safari leave Amboseli for Tsavo West National Park to arrive for lunch. In the afternoon visit the Ngulia Rhino home a fenced area where Tsavo’s growing number of risky black rhino are protected.

The security offered by fenced homes allows rhinos to live and reproduce without the constant threat of poaching. The park is known for the Red Elephants,9Day Big Cats Safari Oryx, and Gerenuk among others. Other notable features include Mzima Springs-underground water seepage from Chyulu hills, the molten lava that forms the Shetani lava flow spewed from the earth & it was thought by the local people to be the work of devil, hence its name, which means devil in Swahili.

The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more varied array of homes which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills and rock outcrops. The extensive varied homes offer ideal area to search for Lions, Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Giraffe, Zebras, etc. while, dinner/overnight will be at the camp/lodge.

Day 5: Tsavo West National park – Lake Naivasha

Early morning have breakfast,9Day Big Cats Safari then check out and proceed with morning game drive within the park as you depart for Lake Naivasha via Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon for lunch at Lake Naivasha resort, a great escape set on the shores of stunning Lake Naivasha, Kenya.

Check in and spent the rest of the day at leisure with an option to take a boat ride with a visit to Crescent Island (own extra cost). Lake Naivasha situated at the floor of the Great Rift Valley,9Day Big Cats Safari is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus is almost 13 km’s across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five meters.

The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo populations sleep in the day out in the shallows. while, dinner and overnight at the resort.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast at the Resort/lodge, 9Day Big Cats Safari depart Naivasha for Lake Nakuru to arrive in time for lunch. Check in and enjoy the meal then later afternoon game drive in this famous National Park that is a world-class bird watching safari destination & fondly referred to as the bird watchers paradise.

The park is recognized as one of the natural wonders of the world and of course, the flamingos been the main attraction. At times,9Day Big Cats Safari there may be almost 2 million flamingos in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore.

Other bird species that inhabit the lake are African fish eagle, goliath heron, hamerkop, pied kingfisher among others. You are likely to see black rhinoceros plus white rhinos. There are also a number of Rothschild’s giraffe, Waterbuck, lion, cheetah & leopard. Lastly, dinner & overnight will be at your hotel/Lodge.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, 9Day Big Cats Safari proceed to the known Maasai Mara Game Reserve on a drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch, check in at the Camp/Lodge and enjoy your meal as you relax. Later in the afternoon, game drive to explore the Maasai Mara Game Reserve returning to the Lodge/Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Maasai Mara Game Viewing

After breakfast,9Day Big Cats Safari leave the Camp/lodge with picnic lunch for a full day game viewing in this known national reserve. You shall see thousands of wildlife including Buffalos, hippos in the Mara River, lion, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, warthog, hyena, jackal, wild dog, leopard, many kinds of antelope and elephant.

The annual wildebeest migration, a once in a lifetime natural wonder, occurs in the Mara from July to September where millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti in search of abundant water and pasture.

Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park-Moran’s (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day. Later in the evening, return to the Camp/Lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 9: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

After early breakfast,9Day Big Cats Safari check out from the Camp/lodge and leave Maasai Mara for a trip back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Lunch enroute, (own cost). On arrival in Nairobi drop off at your hotel or the Airport for your final departure.
