This 10 Days Best of Kenya Wildlife Adventure Safari is a comprise of wildlife, culture and the cradle of mankind – a natural paradise and land of contrasts with world famous national parks like the Maasai Mara, Samburu, Ambos Eli, Tsavo and Mount Kenya well as the possibilities of enjoying Kenya as a vacation destination, a hospitable and friendly country are endless. While, in the course of this safari you will be able to view pride of lions, herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards and a variety of wildlife.

Here’s what you can expect from each destination:

Maasai Mara National Reserve:
  • Key Attraction: The Great Wildebeest Migration is the most famous event in Maasai Mara. Witnessing the vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles crossing the Mara River is a breathtaking experience.

Lake Naivasha:

Full Guide for 10 Days Best of Kenya Wildlife.

Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport:

Furthermore, on your arrival at the Airport, you will be met by a representative from Bonobos African Safari Holidays who will welcome you to this friendly and hospitable county. You will then transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi-Tsavo East NP:

Meanwhile you will then leave Nairobi for Tsavo National Park. While, the trip will be by train leaving from Nairobi train station to Voi train station which is about 5 hours. You will arrive in time for Lunch. Later on, you will have the afternoon game drive in Tsavo East National park ending with sundowner.

Day 3: Tsavo East National Park:

However, this day you will explore Tsavo East National Park the “Theatre of the Wild”. Similarly, the park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is also a home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features with 500 recorded types.
While, the sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galena River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilometer long Yatter Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East.

Day 4: Tsavo East, Tsavo West-Amboseli NP:

Furthermore, Tsavo west the “Land of Lava, springs, Man-Eaters & Magical Sunsets” is a beautiful, rugged and wilderness. However, it has got fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows.
Meanwhile, the savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher’s Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. In addition to, Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions which include the elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, varied plant and bird types including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler. Afterwards, you will then proceed to Ambos Eli National park.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park:

However, it’s known as the “Home of the African Elephant”. And crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro the Africa’s highest peak and it’s also one of Kenya’s most popular parks. Meanwhile, the name “Ambos Eli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”. It is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. While, nature lovers can explore five different homes here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Ambos Eli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. Lastly, they can also visit the local Maasai people who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park-Lake Naivasha:

Afterward your breakfast, you will move to Lake Naivasha via Nairobi. Meanwhile, you will arrive in time for lunch in addition you may either relax at the swimming pool or enjoy boat ride in the lake (Optional).

Day 7: Lake Naivasha-Masaai Mara:

Afterward your breakfast, you will then drive past the extinct volcano of Mount Longonot and Suswa into the homelands of the Maasai. Meanwhile, the Maasai Mara is located on Kenya’s southern border with Tanzania and forms the northern stretch of the Serengeti and has the richest mass of animals in Kenya. Therefore, after lunch you will have the chance to observe the special world of the Maasai Mara.

Day 8: Maasai Mara:

However, you will have a whole day of game drives searching for the “Big Five” like Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard. While, with the kind of vegetation Maasai Mara has it’s usually easy to see the wildlife. In addition to that, for lunch you will then return to the Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 9: Masaai Mara – Lake Nakuru:

You will later move to Lake Nakuru, which is known for its notorious flocks of flamingos and pelicans. The park also boasts over 30 rhinos as well as a large number of leopards.

Day 10: Lake Nakuru National Park-Nairobi:

Meanwhile, your day will start with an early morning game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park and then have breakfast at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. Afterwards, you will then drive to Nairobi thus end of Safari.
