This Trip Starts in Rwanda & Ends in Uganda:

This 6 Days combined safari Uganda & Rwanda: Gorilla, chimp trekking and wildlife: Safari Holiday starts in Kigali, Rwanda and ends in Uganda. It will take you to Rwanda and Uganda, covering the national parks:, Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, known for the biggest number of mountain gorillas in the world as you will experience gorilla trekking and Batwa encounter in the park and get to know more about these majestic giants.

Queen Elizabeth National Park the second largest national park and most visited park in Uganda, with leopards, elephants, lions, buffaloes, crocodiles, warthogs, and 600+ bird species including the grey crowned crane and shoebill and the chimpanzee trekking. After experiencing the gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, golden monkey tracking and Batwa culture encounter, you will embark on your journey to Lake Mburo National Park as the trip intensifies, you will experience horse riding and game drive where you will spot a number of zebras, giraffes and more wildlife in the park.

After all the experience in Lake Mburo National Park, you will drive to your hotel or the airport to connect to your home flight.

Day 1Pick-up from the airport-Transfer to your Hotel

Your safari begins with the pick up from your hotel by our professional guide from Bonobos African Safari Holidays who will brief about your whole trip. You will then drive to your hotel for overnight and dinner.

Day 2Kigali City Tour including Genocide Memorial & Local market: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Your Rwanda-Uganda Safari begins with a comprehensive tour of Kigali, including the sobering Genocide Memorial and vibrant Capalaki Craft Market, offering insights into Rwanda’s history and culture.

After city tour in Kigali, you will cross to Uganda in Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park for overnight and dinner as you prepare for gorilla trekking the following day.

Day 3Gorilla Trekking & Batwa culture encounter in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Transfer to Ishasha for Evening Game Drive

The highlight of your Rwanda-Uganda Safari arrives with an early start and 8:00 AM briefing at the park headquarters before venturing into the ancient forest to track one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families. Your Rwanda-Uganda Safari experience today includes trekking through dense vegetation for 1-6 hours until reaching these gentle giants, where you’ll spend an hour observing their fascinating behaviors and family dynamics.  Additionally  you will go for Batwa culture encouunter

 

After this life-changing Rwanda-Uganda Safari encounter, you’ll trek back to your vehicle and transfer to the Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions including an evening game drive.

 

 

Afternoon Transfer to Ishasha Sector:

It is now time for the second highlight of this gorilla trekking and tree-climbing lions safari, a day dedicated to searching for tree-climbing lions. The southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its tree-climbing lions. In the early morning, you head out onto the savannah to search the big fig trees for lions and hopefully see topis, elephants, and buffaloes. After the morning game drive, we head back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation; later in the afternoon, we return to the park to hopefully get some more good sightings.

Day 4Early Morning Game Drive - Travel from Ishasha Side for an Afternoon Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel plus an Evening Game Drive in the Kasenyi Sector

Today, your Rwanda-Uganda Safari you have an early morning breakfast then go for a morning game drive within the park. Anticipate seeing the famous big five including Buffalos, elephants, Lions, and other mammals like Giant Forest hogs, Bush bucks, Kobs, Hyenas, and waterbucks.

In the afternoon hours, you will get ready for a launch cruise along the Kazinga

channel. You will appreciate the high scores of Elephants, Hippos, Buffalos and crocodiles. A number of bird species will also be seen including the rare shoe bill.

Day 5Chimpanzee Trekking- Drive to Lake Mburo National Park with the stopover at the equator

After breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge. After the experience you will drive to Lake Mburo National park with the stopover at the equator where you do photography and more interesting things.

Day 6Morning game drive & Horse riding -Drive to Entebbe International Airport

After breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive where you will spot a variety of wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, impalas among others.

After such great experience, you go for horse riding before departing for Entebbe to connect to your home flight or go to your hotel.
