12 Days of Gorilla Tracking and Wildlife adventure:

Murchison Falls National Park:

Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

The sanctuary is situated approximately 176 kilometers (109 miles) north of the capital city, Kampala, and covers an area of about 7,000 hectares (17,300 acres). It provides a safe and secure environment for the rhinos to thrive and reproduce, as well as promoting education and awareness about rhino conservation.

Kibale Forest National Park:

Specifically known for its remarkable chimpanzee population, Kibale Forest allows visitors to go chimpanzee tracking and observe these primates in their natural habitat. It’s an enriching experience to learn about the behavior of these intelligent creatures and witness their interactions. However you will engage in more exciting activities like the Bigodi wetland swamp walk. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is a fascinating eco-tourism activity located near Kibale Forest National Park in Uganda.  Furthermore, it is a community-based initiative that offers visitors a chance to explore the unique wetland ecosystem of Bigodi and encounter its diverse flora and fauna.

Queen Elizabeth National Park:

This park offers a game drive and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where visitors can spot a wide array of wildlife and bird species. The diverse landscape for instance crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains, adds to the allure of this park.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:

It is often regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa, attracting travelers with its stunning scenery, serene waters, and a myriad of islands scattered throughout its expanse. The name “Bunyonyi” means “place of many little birds” in the local Rukiga language, a fitting description for the abundance of birdlife found around the lake.

Lake Mburo NP

Lastly  our trip ends with Lake Mburo National Park. is a compact and captivating national park located in western Uganda. Despite being the smallest national park in the country, it offers a rich diversity of wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and unique experiences for visitors. The park is named after Lake Mburo, a scenic lake that forms part of its boundaries and provides a picturesque backdrop for wildlife viewing. Lake Mburo National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including zebras, impalas, elands, topis, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, and crocodiles. It is also one of the best places in Uganda to spot wild zebras.

 

Detailed itinerary

Day1; Arrival at Entebbe Airport

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalization of the form, you shall be welcomed by your guide who will then drive you to your accommodation. However, the guest house is located in the quiet environs of Entebbe town a few minutes’ drive from the airport.

Day2;Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After your break first, you will start your journey to Murchison Falls National Park driving through Kampala city. For now, you will stop at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have a walking safari to the white rhinos that have been re-introduced in Uganda. In the same way, in the afternoon, proceed to the legendary Murchison Falls National Park.

Day3; Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Ride

After your break first, you will go for an early morning game drive. The trip directly takes you through beautiful landscapes made up of savannah grasslands down to the delta point in search of lions, leopards, hyenas, buffalo, elephants and several antelopes as well as bird types. On top of that, in the afternoon you will have a boat trip on the River Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Later enjoy the spectacular water falls.

Day4; Drive to Fort Portal

After your break first, you will depart Murchison Falls National Park and drive to Fort Portal. For the moment, this is a day-long drive through the scenic countryside. However, you will drive past numerous tea plantations before reaching Fort Portal in the evening.

Day5; Chimpanzee Tracking and Swamp Walk in Kibale Forest National Park

After your breakfast, then proceed to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee trekking in the jungles, In the same way, in the afternoon, you will take a walk through Bigodi Swamp which is a hub for many birds and animal types. Furthermore, Kibale National Park is home for over 20 animals types and hundreds of birds types.

Day6; Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your breakfast, you will drive straight away to the world’s famous Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will cross the equator along the way. Then have an evening game drive in search of the vast animal species and birds. Besides this, Queen Elizabeth National Park boasts a high diversity of plant and animals.

Day 7; Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Ride on Kazinga Channel

Firstly start the day with an exciting early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, famously known world-over for its high biodiversity of flora and fauna. In the afternoon, take the amazing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, revealing hundreds of hippos as well as numerous bird species, some of which are seasonal “immigrants” from Europe.

Day8; Drive to Ishasha Sector

For now you will drive to Ishasha, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Meanwhile this sector is famous for the tree-climbing lions. Besides you will have a game drive searching for tree-climbing lions in the woodlands and after, you will check in at your lodge and relax.

Day 9; Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This morning you will experience gorilla trekking which is also one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but it is well worth the effort. Thereafter, you will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about gorillas, flora and fauna in this national park.

Day 10; Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 11: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park 

Upon waking up, you will have an early morning breakfast as you start your day 11 safari Tour & Holiday, you will have breakfast and then check out of your accommodation. You will leave Lake Bunyonyi and travel to Lake Mburo National Park which is located in the western part of Uganda. The drive will take approximately 4-5 hours. It is one of Uganda’s smallest but most beautiful national parks. Lake Mburo is famous for having the largest population of Zebras and Impalas in Uganda.

It is made of seasonal swamps, woody Savannah grassland that is dominated by acacia and Lakes. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge, have lunch and relaxation as you prepare for the night Game drive. Later in the evening, prepare and move out for the night game drive. Night Game drives in Lake Mburo National Park in Uganda are the most ideal for you. Notably known as the only park where you can spot an exceptional number of impalas than in any of the other Savannah parks. These game drives will also give you a wonderful experience for extraordinary sightseeing, viewing of diverse wildlife species. Through a network of game tracks tourists are able to see animals ranging from

Zebras, Impalas, giraffes, warthogs, buffaloes, hyenas. Waterbucks, elands, oribi, hippos, crocodiles, reedbucks and many others. Then after, you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Early Morning Nature Walk & Travel Back to Entebbe International Airport

After Breakfast on Day 10 of your Uganda Safari Tour & Holiday, you will head out for a Nature walk within the park with an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide which will take about 2 to 3 hours, this experience in Lake Mburo national park will take you off the main paths and you will go deep into the bush trails to enjoy the park and see herds of zebras, giraffes, Elands, impalas, buffalos, Defassa waterbucks, oribis, leopards, hippos, hyenas, Topis and reedbuck among others.

After this unique experience, you will then drive to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight.
