Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
On the first day of your 4-day Uganda gorilla trekking safari, you will arrive at Entebbe International Airport and be received by a representative from your tour company. From there, you will embark on a scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi in southwestern Uganda. The drive will take you through rural areas, with breathtaking views of the rolling hills and valleys of Uganda.
Upon arrival at Lake Bunyonyi, you will check into your chosen accommodation and have the rest of the day to explore the lake and its surroundings. You can go for a leisurely boat ride, swim, hike to some of the nearby hills, or simply relax and enjoy the scenery. Lake Bunyonyi specifically surrounded by terraced hills and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Gorilla Trek.
After breakfast, you will set out for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is a 4-hour drive from Lake Bunyonyi. Bwindi is home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, and is one of the most important wildlife destinations in Africa.
Upon arrival, you will check into your chosen accommodation and then head out for your first gorilla trek. Meanwhile, trekking gorillas in Bwindi is a unique and unforgettable experience, as you get up close and personal with these magnificent primates in their natural habitat. Each trek is guided by a ranger, who will lead you through the dense jungle to where the gorillas are located. Then the trek can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on where the gorillas are.

Late in the afternoon, you will have a second chance to trek gorillas in Bwindi, this time with a different group of gorillas. This is an excellent opportunity to observe different behaviors and personalities within the gorilla groups.
