Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe International Airport or your Hotel – Drive to Kibale National Park
Day 1 of the 5 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Tracking Safari will start with a pick up from Entebbe International Airport. You will be assigned our professional driver guide from Paradise Adventure Vacations who will meet and greet you, brief you about your 5 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Tracking Safari and then you will proceed for an 8 hours’ drive including a coffee stopover at Equator line in Kayabwe and also a lunch stopover in the Tourism City, “Fort Portal”. During your drive through Fort Portal, you will have scenic views of the rolling hills giving you lasting breathtaking moments and you will proceed to Kibale National Park for relaxation, dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Kibale National Park – Chimpanzee Tracking – Nature walk through Bigodi Wetland and Community Encounter
Day 2 of your 5 days Uganda Chimpanzee Tracking Safari will start with a heavy breakfast. You will wake up to a heavy customized breakfast and prepare for interesting activities in the course of the day. Wear appropriate clothing since you are getting ready for Chimpanzee tracking which will take about two to four hours depending on the location of the Chimpanzees. Among the cloths include, a long sleeved shirt, a pair of karky or jean trousers, water proof boots, a cap, and a heavy sweater in case of rain. Carry with you some snacks and water to keep you hydrated throughout the tracking session.
Then proceed to Kanyachu visitor center where you will be briefed about the Do’s and the Don’t’s of the park, here, you will also be assigned a park ranger who will take you through Kanyachu trail where you will do your Chimpanzee tracking from. While on the trail, you will be welcomed by the sights and sounds of the forest as you look out for the various bird species like the flycatchers, hornbills, kingfisher, weavers, cuckoos, purple breasted sunbird, crowned eagle, black capped waxbill, black billed turaco, black collard apalis among other birds and also the butterflies as they fly up in the sky.
You will encounter the primates of the park like the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, blue monkeys, and the L’Hoest. When you get to the chimpanzees you will be allowed to only spend one hour with theses chimpanzees. Feel free to ask the park ranger as many questions as possible and then return back to your accommodation for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will have a nature walk through Bigodi wetland and also an opportunity to spot some mammal species which you didn’t see during the trek like bush pigs, mongooses, forest elephants, forest buffaloes, bush bucks, olive baboons, and red tailed monkeys among others and also visit the local community around the wetland for experiences like Gin brewing from bananas, coffee processing, craft making and then you will return to your accommodation for Dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Afternoon Boat cruise – Evening Game drive
Day 3 of the 5 days Uganda Chimpanzee Tracking Safari starts with a heavy morning breakfast and a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Wake up to a hearty breakfast and prepare for a 3 hours’ drive to the “Medley of Wonders” where you will be captivated by the mind blowing beauty of the park. Upon your arrival, you will check into your accommodation for relaxation as you await a delicious meal. Later in the afternoon you will embark on a boat cruise through the Kazinga channel where you will view the herds of hippos taking in water, elephants drinking and swimming at the shores of the kazinga channel, Nile crocodiles resting at the shade and also for the Bird lovers.
The launch cruise will offer you an opportunity to see various bird species among the 600 species offered by Queen Elizabeth National Park, among these include the African fish eagle, the yellow billed stork, the African skimmer, rare saddle billed stork, grey headed kingfisher, Nubian woodpecker, swamp flycatcher, grey capped warbler, little bee eater, Swamp Nightjar among other bird species.
Relax for about 5 to 10 minutes with some refreshments and then proceed for an evening game drive through the Mweya peninsular with an armed park ranger and spotlight torches, here you will be amazed with the beautiful evening sunset at Queen Elizabeth National Park, also be on the lookout for the nocturnal animals that become active during the night like the leopards, lions, spotted hyenas, jackals, buffaloes, elephants and also hippos grazing on the short grass. Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Experiential Lion and Leopard Tracking – Crater Lake Exploration
Start your Day 4 of your 5 days Uganda Chimpanzee Tracking Safari with an early morning breakfast and prepare for a life giving experiential Lion and Leopard tracking, this activity will take you beyond the usual game drive experience where by you will meet eye to eye with the lions and the leopards, learn about their behaviors and also their population, you will do this amazing activity only within the Kasenyi sector and then return back to your lodge for relaxation and lunch.
You will spend your afternoon at leisure as you await an evening Crater Lake exploration at Lake Katwe Explosion craters which is a 27km drive through the craters in Queen Elizabeth National Park, on your way you will spot some animals like the lonely male buffaloes and elephants, water bucks, Uganda kobs, sitatunga antelopes, chimpanzees and also flamingos at Lake Munyanyange, termites, snakes among others. Upon reaching, you will see the number one salt distributor in Uganda and learn how salt is extracted; you will also see the Western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley and escarpments during the drive and then return back for dinner and an overnight.

You will then proceed with the journey and Enroute to your destination, you will have a stopover at Equator line at Kayabwe to participate in the water experience, have some coffee and take some memorable pictures while at the “0” line. Proceed with the journey to Entebbe International Airport or your Hotel.
