5-Day Short Holiday Package to Uganda – Gorilla Trekking
Your 5-day short Holidays package to Uganda will start from the hotel or the airport. You will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Expect a game drive/safari, plus a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. However, after exploring Queen, you will exit for Bwindi through the Isasha area for a tree-climbing lion sighting. In Bwindi, you will enjoy the ultimate gorilla experience, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and sightseeing. Lastly, on the 5th day, you will return to Entebbe Airport or be dropped off at a hotel of your booking.
Queen Elizabeth National Park:
This park offers a game drive and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where visitors can spot a wide array of wildlife and bird species. The diverse landscape for instance crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains, adds to the allure of this park. Wildlife in this park include Chimpanzee, Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Hippo, Leopard
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:
The highlight of the trip, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, provides a rare opportunity to get up close with the magnificent mountain gorillas. This experience is often considered one of the most memorable wildlife encounters in the world. Wildlife in Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest include Gorilla, Chimpanzee, Elephant, White Rhino, Black Rhino, Lion.
Lake Bunyonyi
The last part of the 14-days Uganda safari will take you for relaxation by beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.Lake Bunyonyi is a mesmerizing and tranquil lake located in southwestern Uganda, near the town of Kabale. It is often regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa, attracting travelers with its stunning scenery, serene waters, and a myriad of islands scattered throughout its expanse. The name “Bunyonyi” means “place of many little birds” in the local Rukiga language, a fitting description for the abundance of birdlife found around the lake.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Start from Airport (before 10am) or be picked from a Hotel and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
The pick-up will be from either; the Hotel or from the Airport upon arrival. The assigned Professional English-speaking Tour Driver-guide will pick/receive you and straightaway embark on a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – one of Uganda’s most frequented tourist destinations. The park features diverse ecosystems called home by a variety of wildlife species – ten primate species (including chimpanzees), more than 600 bird species, and classic big games. You will stop for lunch en route then proceed into the beautiful Queen Elizabeth NP, arriving late afternoon (evening) and do little but just check into the accommodation and relax. #Note: If reach with some time still available, we can proceed for a late afternoon-to-evening game drive.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel
Be up early and have your breakfast. Proceed for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants plus lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. Then return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. Furthermore after lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. From the boat trip (which ends about 4pm), we can either go back to the lodge to relax or we can go for another late afternoon-evening game drive/safari till about 6:30 or 7pm.

Day 3: Another sunrise game drive – Kasenyi plains and head to Ishasha, then connect to Bwindi
Wake up early and proceed for one last game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants, lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. Return to the lodge and check out then head to Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). However, should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorable. Furthermore, from Ishasha, we shall continue to the accommodation at the edge of Bwindi National Park (Ruhija sector) – arriving in the evening (6pm). If interested, you can consider chimp tracking (Kyambura) in place of the sunrise game drive. Please, take note that permit for chimp tracking needs to be secured prior to the actual date.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation
Have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. Meanwhile, the time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Later return to the accommodation, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe to catch flight (18:00hrs or later) – Stop at Equator
Firstly, You will have a relaxed breakfast with spectacular view of the Bunyonyi little islands just right in front of you. Thereafter, you will hit the road for the return to Entebbe (arriving in the late afternoon/evening) for your flight out. Expect a stop at the Equator for lunch and also you can take some memorable photos. Thus end of 5-day short Holidays package to Uganda.
