Water rafting in Jinja.

Rafting in Jinja is an exhilarating and adrenaline-pumping adventure activity that takes place on the mighty Nile River, near the town of Jinja in eastern Uganda. It is one of the most popular and thrilling water-based activities in the country, attracting adventure enthusiasts and thrill-seekers from all around the world.

The scenic Sipi Falls.

Sipi Falls is a series of stunning waterfalls located in eastern Uganda, near the town of Sipi in Kapchorwa district. It is a hidden gem and a popular destination for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and travelers looking to experience the beauty of Uganda’s landscapes. The falls are situated on the slopes of Mount Elgon, the eighth-highest mountain in Africa, which adds to their charm and scenic appeal.

Kidepo Valley National Park.

Located  in the far north for the untouched wilderness and an experience with the Karamojong people.Kidepo Valley National Park is one of Uganda’s most remote and spectacular national parks, located in the northeastern part of the country. It is often referred to as the “Hidden Gem” or the “True African Wilderness” due to its untouched beauty and abundant wildlife. The park’s isolation has preserved its natural splendor, making it a unique and less-visited destination for safari enthusiasts. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including African elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, and various antelope species such as elands, oribis, and Jackson’s hartebeests. Kidepo is also an excellent destination for birdwatching, boasting over 475 bird species, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts.

Murchison falls National Park.

The journey southwards will then take you to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park commonly known as the nature wonders of Uganda. This is the starting point of the safari, and it promises exciting wildlife encounters. The combination of a game drive and a boat cruise on the Nile River offers an opportunity to see a wide variety of animals. Such as the iconic African Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceros).  Meanwhile, the Murchison Falls is where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge and plummets into the Devil’s Cauldron, is a stunning natural spectacle.

 Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Lake Bunyonyi

The last part of the 14-days Uganda safari will take you for relaxation by beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.Lake Bunyonyi is a mesmerizing and tranquil lake located in southwestern Uganda, near the town of Kabale. It is often regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa, attracting travelers with its stunning scenery, serene waters, and a myriad of islands scattered throughout its expanse. The name “Bunyonyi” means “place of many little birds” in the local Rukiga language, a fitting description for the abundance of birdlife found around the lake.

Lastly  our trip ends with Lake Mburo National Park. is a compact and captivating national park located in western Uganda. Despite being the smallest national park in the country, it offers a rich diversity of wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and unique experiences for visitors. The park is named after Lake Mburo, a scenic lake that forms part of its boundaries and provides a picturesque backdrop for wildlife viewing. Lake Mburo National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including zebras, impalas, elands, topis, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, and crocodiles. It is also one of the best places in Uganda to spot wild zebras.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport:

On your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be picked up by our representative, your driver/guide, who will brief you about your safari and transfer you to your place of accommodation. Do a city tour in the afternoon and visit local sights depending on your time.

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja – Sezibwa falls – Source of the Nile – Sipi Falls:

After breakfast head to eastwards with en-route stop at Sezibwa Falls. The site is a hidden cultural treasure with a number of traditional attachment for the Buganda Kingdom and believed to be a blessing center, proceed to Mabira ecotourism forest reserve for an 1-hour trek around.

it is a home to over 315 species of Bird like the Nahan’s Francolin, Cassin’s Hawk Eagle, etc. then continue with the drive to Jinja, have lunch and transfer to the Source of the Nile for an hour boat ride to from shores of the Nile to the exact point where John Speke, the first European to see the source of the world’s longest river stood.

Proceed to Sipi Falls, for a simple hike at Sipi Falls characterized by four spectacular falls along river Sipi, flowing down the Mount Elgon. Each waterfall offers an experience different from another, from the plunge, beautiful views, caves, to rainbows. The entire hike will take from 3 to 4 hours.

Day 3: Sipi Falls – Nyero Rock paints – move to Kidepo Valley NP:

On this day have breakfast and depart for Kidepo valley National Park via Nyero rock paintings, these rock paintings are believed to have been made by the earlier settlers in the area. Currently it is the Itesot people who live in the area, but there are stories and tales that some little people.

A bit like the Batwa who were in that area before the Itesots settled there and if you have an interest in archeology then the Nyero Rock Paintings are a site to be visited, then move to Kidepo valley national Park the most great and Africa’s finest wildernesses through the remote villages of Basoga Kingdom, Bagisu Kingdom, Karamonjos and finally into the valleys of Kidepo national park one of the only 3 best National park in Africa as voted by CNN travel channel.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park – Morning game driver – Evening nature walks / game drive:

Have breakfast in the morning at the lodge, have your packed lunch and go for Kidepo Valley morning game drive “Africa’s finest wilderness” to search for the great games of the park and most of them are special to the park these include African Elephants, Leopard, Bush bucks, Giraffes, African Buffaloes, Lion, Cheetah and this is the only park in Uganda where you can meet ostriches and cheetahs in the wild.

Day 5: Kidepo Valley National Park – Morning cultural performances –move to Murchison Falls:

Afterward your breakfast, you will then be ready to be entertained by Karamojong traditional Manyattas troupes with their amazing cultural performances. However, the Karamojong are pastoral people and predominantly breed cattle and goats, they are easily recognizable by their special style of dressing and beading.

Furthermore, the guide will take you through the homestead designs, local cuisines and meet the elders who will narrate the tribe’s folklore and beliefs. After this morning entertainments relax and then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park the Uganda’s most visited and largest park.

Day 6: Murchison Falls NP – Morning Game drive – Afternoon boat cruise –Hiking to top of the falls:

Afterward your breakfast, head out for your morning game drive, this drive will provide chances to watch various wildlife like the elephants, 14 Day Explore Uganda Safari, buffalo, Jackson Hartebeest, Kobs, lion, leopard, and giraffe among others that will leave you with a taste of African Savannah wilderness.

Meanwhile, you will have a short break for lunch. Later, you will then go for an afternoon boat cruise to the calm Victoria Nile, at the base of waterfalls just below the devil’s cauldron. However, here you can marvel at the toothsome hippos, basks of crocodiles and over a 17 km stretch you will see elephants, water bucks, Uganda Kobs and more.

This area is also a habitat for many bird species including Goliath herons, Egyptian geese, shoe bill and others, then embark on an evening hiking to the top of the falls. Finally, you will then return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Murchison Falls NP –move to Kibale forest — Bigodi Swamp nature walks:

Afterward your breakfast, you will then check out for a drive to Kibale Forest with a morning game drive en-route, estimated transit time is around 7 hours with frequent stops to stretch legs the drive will take you through little towns and villages as you observe the African rhythm of life.

On arrival, check in at your preferred room to relax and later go for Bigodi home swamp evening nature walk. Kibale forest is proudly known to have the greatest variety of animals in Africa the most known of its 13 types is the Chimpanzee, our closest relative also a home to the rare L’Hoest’s monkey, black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few.

Day 8: Chimp Trekking Kibale Forest and move to Kasese at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains:

Have breakfast and head to the rangers’ point where you will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during chimp walking. Thereafter, you will proceed to trek the chimps in the Kibale Forest. In the same way, an experienced ranger guide will take you chimp tracking and you will be marveled by the sights of animals here.

Once you a locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour with them. Return to the lodge for lunch and then embark on a move to Kasese Town situated at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains. You will arrive and do little but just check-in, relax

Day 9: Hiking Rwenzori and Transfer in the park:

However, this one-day nature walk, or Rwenzori hike will take place along the Kilembe route. Meanwhile, this walk will  start from your hotel which is 1,450 meters above sea level. Secondly, the trek will take you through montane forest with thick trees with a variety of animals and different bird types.

Thirdly, you will climb up a steep ridge below omusati rest spot where you will join the trail walking down from Samalira at 2373m highest walking point. In the same way, you will also climb a few kilometers crossing many small streams and rivers and within a few meters a head to the birding trail, you will see bush pigs digging roots and grubs along the way.

In the same way, the trails continue to the top of Nya Mwamba where you will get to see the beautiful forests along the river and a small trail at the edge of the river where you can walk and look  for water birds as well as seeing chimp nests that are made of branches and twigs up in the tallest trees.

You may also see white and black colobus monkey as they swing along the trees looking for trees bearing fruits and you may as well see the blue monkeys. In addition to, the plant types, the thick forest and area is worth the effort to experience.

Day 10: Morning Game drive – Afternoon Boat cruise – Community walk to Lake Katwe salt mining village:

Once done with your morning coffee, you will then head out for a morning game drive at Kasenyi track of the park. Which is common with elephants, warthog, waterbuck, kob, leopard, lions, hyena, buffalo and so much more. Afterward, you will have a short break before visiting Katwe fishing and salt mining village. Similarly, you will also see plenty of flamingos in this part of the park.

Meanwhile after lunch, you will then go for an afternoon boat cruise on the well-known Kazinga means to see schools of hippos, basks of crocodiles. In addition to, the means has the highest concentration of hippos in Africa it is also a great place for birders enjoy most as you will see hundreds and hundreds of birds on the shore, you can easily identify over 40 types while on the boat cruise on Kazinga means.

Later on, you will go for an evening game drive mainly to search for the big cats and other predators of the park. Finally, you will then return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 11: Queen Elizabeth – Morning game drive – move to Bwindi forest via Ishasha sector:

Immediately after your morning coffee, you will then head out for a game drive to look for wildlife on the Kasenyi track like the elephant, 14 Day Explore Uganda Safari, warthog, waterbuck, kob, leopard, lions, hyena, buffalo then drive to Bwindi forest via Ishasha sector which is known for its tree climbing lions. While, Bwindi Forest is a home to the known half of the worlds endangered mountain gorillas.

A magnificent verdant swathe across the steep ridges of the Albertine Rift Valley, this ancient rainforest. last Ice Age -is home to roughly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Arrive to check in and have lunch, relax or go for an evening village walk and shopping at the craft market before dinner.

Day 12: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi & move to Lake Bunyonyi:

Afterward your breakfast, you will then move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the gorilla home for your tour. However, the beauty of this rain forest is amazing!

Similarly, the time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great animals. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these soft but risky giants is unforgettable.

Thereafter, you will return for lunch then drive off to Lake Bunyonyi.  The lake is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of different shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical.

Day 13: Move to Lake Mburo and enjoy afternoon (evening) game viewing:

Once done with breakfast, you will then set off to Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara town. You will arrive in the early afternoon. And take some rest before proceeding out for the late afternoon (evening) game viewing. Meanwhile, on the game drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras, Topi, impalas, Uganda kob and Cape buffalos among others.

In case you are interested, you may go out for the breathtaking Mburo night game drive (at an extra cost on the ground). During the night game drive, expect to sight nocturnal creatures.  Including snakes, hyena, owls and the elusive leopard (on a lucky day) among others.

Day 14: Mburo park (bush) walk and move to Entebbe Airport for your flight out:

Afterward your breakfast, you will then proceed for the Mburo morning walk. In the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. However, on this early morning guided walk, you will have the chance to meet with the Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others.

Meanwhile, you will take the trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. Similarly, from this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo. Thus the end of the trip.
