The 3 Days Maasai Mara Mid-range Tour is a carefully designed package that takes you to the Renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Maasai Mara National Reserve is located in the South Western region of Kenya along the Great Rift Valley area in Norok County Kenya adjacent to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.

About Maasai Mara National Reserve

Meanwhile, Maasai Mara National Reserve was established in 1961 as a wildlife sanctuary covering an area of 520sqkm of the current Mara Triangle.  Later it was converted into a Game Reserve and by 1984 the park had a total area of 1510sqkm. The park is dotted with acacia trees, shrubs and bushes and has 2 draining rivers which are Maasai Mara River and Talek River.

It is also a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for its Natural diversity of wildlife for instance the Big 5 mammals which are Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes and Rhinos in large numbers as well as other mammals like Cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, duikers, impala hartebeests, roan antelopes, topi, wildebeest and Thomson’s gazelles. Furthermore the park also boosts of over 500 bird species for example  Bateleur, Secretary bird, Schawlow’s turaco, Abdim’s stork, Hammerkops, Temminck’s courser, Southern ground hornbill, Usambiro barbet, Saddle-billed stork, Giant kingfisher, Woolly-necked stork, Black-headed heron, Giant kingfisher, African jacana, Crowned lapwing, Malachite kingfisher, Grey-headed kingfisher among others. Maasai Mara National Reserve is also famous for its annual Wildebeest Beast Migration where Millions of these creatures migrate from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.

Day 1: Pick up from Naivasha and Drive to Maasai Mara.

Nevertheless, our guide will pick you from Naivasha and immediately leave for Maasai Mara to arrive at lunch time while there you’ll have lunch at the lodge and relax before a game drive which starts from 4pm to 6pm then later on drive in at the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Wildebeest Migration in Maasai Mara

Day 7; Full Day Wildebeest migration in Maasai Mara

Today you will be taken on two game drives, one in the morning from 6.00am to 9am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 4.00pm to 6.30pm. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active. As your safari is private, your game drive timings are flexible, convenient especially when travelling with children. As we will be monitoring river crossing, we will be keen to stay alert and proceed with game driver close to the river. On this you may also choose to have a full day game drive with a packed picnic lunch and return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Early morning Game Drive-Transfer from Mara to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport- Nairobi.

Early Morning Game Drive

On the final day of your safari you will have a mouth-watering breakfast as you enjoy the tranquility of Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will go on an early Morning Game Drive to have a last glimpse on Maasai Mara’s wildlife, during the drive; you will spot the mammals that you failed to see on your previous game drives.

Then check out of your lodge and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch up with your flight or spend another night in Nairobi City.
