12 Day Safari Holiday in Uganda Fly into Entebbe and overnight at the booked accommodation. On the next day, transfer to Murchison Falls NP  where you will do hiking at top of Murchison falls, ,Game driving due to presence of  giraffes, buffaloes, uganda kobs, Bushbucks, Elephants, Hartebeest, Oribs, waterbucks, Warthogs  then with en-route rhino tracking in Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Proceed to Kibale, the primates’ capital then go to Queen Elizabeth NP. Afterward, transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha area, famously known for its tree-climbing lions’ population. Enjoy gorilla trekking in Bwindi before relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi and finally visiting Lake Mburo NP. Lastly, return to Entebbe Airport.

Murchison Falls National Park:

Commonly known as the nature wonders of Uganda. This is the starting point of the safari, and it promises exciting wildlife encounters. The combination of a game drive and a boat cruise on the Nile River offers an opportunity to see a wide variety of animals. Such as the iconic African Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceros).  Meanwhile, the Murchison Falls is where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge and plummets into the Devil’s Cauldron, is a stunning natural spectacle.

Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

The sanctuary is situated approximately 176 kilometers (109 miles) north of the capital city, Kampala, and covers an area of about 7,000 hectares (17,300 acres). It provides a safe and secure environment for the rhinos to thrive and reproduce, as well as promoting education and awareness about rhino conservation.

Kibale Forest National Park:

Specifically known for its remarkable chimpanzee population, Kibale Forest allows visitors to go chimpanzee tracking and observe these primates in their natural habitat. It’s an enriching experience to learn about the behavior of these intelligent creatures and witness their interactions. However you will engage in more exciting activities like the Bigodi wetland swamp walk. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is a fascinating eco-tourism activity located near Kibale Forest National Park in Uganda.  Furthermore, it is a community-based initiative that offers visitors a chance to explore the unique wetland ecosystem of Bigodi and encounter its diverse flora and fauna.

Queen Elizabeth National Park:

This park offers a game drive and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where visitors can spot a wide array of wildlife and bird species. The diverse landscape for instance crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains, adds to the allure of this park.

The Ishasha Sector.

specifically renowned for its population of tree-climbing lions, which is a rare behavior observed in only a few places in the world. These lions are known to rest and perch in the branches of fig trees, providing a remarkable sight for visitors.  However, it is believed that they climb the trees to escape from the heat on the ground and to get a better vantage point for spotting prey. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:

Lake Bunyonyi

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, an English-speaking Professional Tour Driver-guide will receive and welcome you to Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter you will move to the booked room. You will check in and take your rest – recovering from jet lag, adjusting to time difference.

Optional (extra cost): Just in case you reached early and interested in some activity, you may consider; a). trip to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens to sight a few primates and birds, b). trip to Mabamba wetland in search of shoebill stork, c). the Lake Victoria Sunset cruise to local islands and bays. Day 2: Move to Zziwa for rhino tracking – Murchison Falls National Park

On the second day of the 12Day Safari Holiday in Uganda be up early to have breakfast. Then drive off to Zziwa Rhino home. Once there, proceed for an hour of on-foot rhino tracking. Meanwhile, from the rhino tracking, head to Masindi where you will have a lunch stop. After lunch, embark on the move to Murchison Falls National Park.

In the same way, the highlights of this park include the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Day 3: Murchison game drive and boat trip

Day 4: Move to Kibale Forest National Park

Day 5:  Chimp trekking and, afternoon Bigodi wetlands

Have breakfast and head to the rangers’ post where you will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during chimp trekking. Thereafter, you will proceed to trek the chimps in the Kibale Forest. An experienced ranger guide will take you chimp tracking (Kibale Forest) and the presence of primates here will surely amaze you.

Once you locate the chimpanzees,12Day Safari Holiday in Uganda you will have a full hour in their presence. Later (after lunch), move out for the Bigodi Wetland excursion. Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Have breakfast at the lodge and then drive off to Queen Elizabeth NP. Meanwhile, you will reach Queen early enough to relax, have lunch and in the afternoon proceed out for game viewing. During the game drive, look out for wild animals like reedbuck, bushbuck, Kobs, warthogs, elephants, lions and buffaloes to mention but a few.

Alternatively, you could choose to go for the Queen’s breathtaking explosion crater drive (instead). The drive is sightseeing with very amazing view of the breathtaking view in and around Queen. There is also some wildlife to see along the drive although commonest are sights of Cape Buffaloes plus Elephants. Return to the room for relaxation, dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat trip

Day 8: Drive to Ishasha in search of tree-climbing lions

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then travel to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of seeing these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to see.

However you get to spot them, the sight is pretty and memorable. Meanwhile, from Ishasha, you will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. With a hard day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your room, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla walking meeting the following day.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking

You’ll have breakfast and then move to the rangers’ post where you will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during walking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your tour. Meanwhile, the area offers dramatic steeply forested view and is amazingly think but marked by many animal trails allowing access to tourists.

However, the time taken and the terrain, vary with the movements of these great animals. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but risky giants is unforgettable.

Lastly, return to the rooms, check out and move to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi
