Day 1: Arrival in Kampala
You arrive at Entebbe airport on, located on a peninsula that juts out into the largest fresh water lake in Africa, where a driver/guide from bonobos 6Day Uganda Great Apes Safari will welcome you to the ‘pearl of Africa’.

Day 2: Drive to Kibale National Park
After your break first, you will be met by your driver/guide who will help you load up. Once all the bags are in the car, you will start your drive to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal town. The trip will thereby take you through the lush green countryside on the Mityana-Mubende road to Fort portal.
Then enjoy lunch in Fort Portal. After lunch, you will visit the crater lakes region and then in the evening, complete your move to Kibale Forest National Park. Once in Kibale, on this 6 Day Uganda Great Apes Safari you will find Turaco Treetops or Similar and will check-in. You then have the rest of the day to yourself. Later, dinner and overnight at Turaco Treetops Lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trek & Visit Bigodi Wetland
Today you are in for some real monkey business! After break first, you visit Kibale Forest National Park, reputed for having the greatest variety and highest mass of animals in East Africa. Proceed on a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in order to search for the wild chimpanzees and many other animals
The guides and rangers will provide detailed explanations, not only on animals but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. Once you locate the chimpanzees, 6 Day Uganda Great Apes Safari you will have a full hour with them at close quarters. After the mandatory 1-hour is finished, head back to the park HQ where you will meet your driver/guide.
Later drive back to the lodge for lunch. Day 4: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable NP
Enjoy your break first and be ready for the drive (5 hours) 6 Day Uganda Great Apes Safari to Bwindi Impenetrable forest the northern sector (Buhoma). While, you will not enter Queen Elizabeth, the early part of this drive takes you via one of Uganda’s lush savannah parks.
You might run into some of the savannah game or view them from a distance en-route. Then with your carry-on lunch you 6Day Uganda Great Apes Safari continue on your drive to Buhoma. You’ll arrive in Bwindi in the early late afternoon/early evening and check-in at Engagi Bwindi Lodge for your overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla Trek & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After your break first, you’ll be moved to park HQ where rangers of Uganda Wildlife Authority will take you through some formalities and a briefing. furthermore, with a packed lunch in your carry-on, you will be placed to the Gorilla family you will be tracking this morning.
Once the briefing is complete, you head to a trailhead where you start your trek to find the gorilla family you are tracking. When you finally locate the family that you are tracking,6 Day Uganda Great Apes Safari take in everything as you watch the gorillas go about their day.
However, it is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the think rainforest with the knowledge that you are in the presence of the few remaining wild mountain gorillas. Furthermore, after the mandatory one hour is up, the rangers will lead you back to the trailhead where you will find your guide to begin your 6Day Uganda Great Apes Safari drive to the scenic Lake Bunyonyi. On arrival in Bunyonyi, check-in at Bird nest Resort and enjoy a hot lunch. Lastly have the rest of the day to yourself.

Day 6: Drive to Entebbe & Departure
This morning, wake up early and enjoy your break first, then at 7.30am begin the drive to Entebbe International Airport while enjoying lunch enroute. Then after lunch, you’ll continue onto Entebbe with a stop at the Equator Crossing for some fun photos and a visit to the crafts village.
After, you complete your drive and move to Entebbe International Airport where your driver/guide will drop you off in time for you to check-in (we advise our clients to check-in online to avoid a delay in case of unforeseen circumstances) for your onward flight home.
