5 Day Big Five and Bird Watching Meanwhile, this is a 5 day Tour of 3 Major National Parks that will give our clients 2 spectacular nights at the historic Maasai Mara National Park. However, it is tailored for clients who have short holidays and want to experience the magical Kenya in the shortest period possible.

Here’s what you can expect from each destination:

  1. Maasai Mara National Reserve:
  • Key Attraction: The Great Wildebeest Migration is the most famous event in Maasai Mara. Witnessing the vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles crossing the Mara River is a breathtaking experience.
  • Wildlife: Maasai Mara is home to the “Big Five” and offers excellent opportunities to spot lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and rhinos. It also boasts an impressive diversity of other wildlife, including cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, and various antelope species.
  • Maasai Culture: Interact with the Maasai people and learn about their traditional way of life and unique customs.
  1. Lake Naivasha:
  • Key Attraction: Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake known for its abundant birdlife and scenic beauty. Take a boat ride to see hippos, waterfowls, and other bird species up close.
  • Activities: Apart from bird watching, you can also explore nearby Hell’s Gate National Park, go on nature walks, or enjoy biking safaris in the area.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi Maasai Mara

Afterward your breakfast from your hotel in Nairobi,5Day Big Five and Bird Watching we will pick you up and leave for Maasai Mara drive through the great Rift valley to the Maasai Mara National Park. This wide reserve is actually part of the Serengeti Vast Plains famously known for its amazing great Wildebeest Migration and is home to big 5 such as Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino and thousands of plain game include impala, zebra, Tophi, both Thompsons and Grant Gazelles  among others. Meanwhile, we shall have lunch at our Camp and relax before departing for the afternoon drive.

Enkorok Mara Camp is a Mid-range tented camp located just outside Maasai Mara NR

Day 2: Maasai Mara 5Day Big Five and Bird Watching

Afterward the morning Breakfast at 6.30am, you will then leave for a full day game drive together with packed lunch. Then the search for the great wild animals will continue as well. Furthermore, on the plains there are large herds of Herbivores grazing, cheetahs as well as leopards hiding in their locations. Furthermore, the Maasai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.

However, there have been 95 types of mammals, amphibians and reptiles as well as over 400 birds types recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa wildlife is more abundant than Mara, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Meanwhile, 5Day Big Five and Bird Watching the midday meals will be at the picnic Mara River migration point. Later you will return to the camp for dinner.

Day 3: Maasai Mara-Lake Nakuru 5Day Big Five and Bird Watching

You will have a pre breakfast game drive to see animals hunting, killing and even eating up to 9.30am and later return to the camp for a Heavy Breakfast. You will then leave for Maasai Village if you wish so. Thereafter, you’ll proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Afterward your lunch, the afternoon game drive will start. In the same way, on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Eventually,5Day Big Five and Bird Watching visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied homes that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding cliff and lovely ridges.

In addition to, Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives. Similarly, Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird home with over 400 bird types such as huge flocks of flamingos and many other water birds. It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and water bucks.

Hotel City Max is a Budget hotel located outside Lake Nakuru NP

Day 4: Lake Nakuru-Amboseli

Nevertheless, you’ll have an early morning drive up to 8.30am. Furthermore, you will have a great view of the park with huge flocks of flamingoes and many other water birds. Also water animals such as hippos and waterbucks. You will return to the lodge for breakfast before leaving for the great Amboseli National Park with hot lunch in either Nairobi or Emali.

Meanwhile, you will arrive at Amboseli National Park and then do a late evening game drive if time allows. However, 5Day Big Five and Bird Watching its crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most liked parks. Meanwhile, the name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.

Furthermore, nature lovers can explore five different homes here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai people who live around the park and meet their authentic culture.

Day 5: Amboseli-Nairobi

Eventually, you will enjoy an early morning game drive in search for animals killing and eating others. However, this is a life time experience for any tourist visiting the park. Meanwhile,5Day Big Five and Bird Watching your early morning Game Drive will give you a clear sight of Mount Kilimanjaro. You Will later go back to the camp and freshen up before leaving for Nairobi.

There is no accommodation. Thus end of tour
