Day 1: Travel to Lakes Kivu, Ihema
Explore the discovered Mineral contents in Lake Kivu, methane (estimated to be 65 cubic kilometers. If burnt over one year, it would give an average power of about 100 gigawatts for the whole period). Explore Vast wildlife types like Giraffes, Hippos, Baboons, Lions, Topis, Zebras, and waterbucks.
Explore a Boat Ride on the Ihema Lake, enjoy its biodiversity except fish, the lake is home to hippopotami and crocodiles. As for birds it has over 550 types including special types such as Shoebill (Balaeniceps rex) and the Papyrus Gonolek (Laniarius mufumbiro).
Among the endemic types, there are the ibis (Threskiornithinae), jacanas, herons, Plovers (Charadriidae), Sandpipers, Malachite Kingfisher (Alcedo cristata), Hawk and many others. Evening Relaxation in Gisenyi on Lake Kivu that borders Congo.

Tour briefs details about the trip and scheduling of time for certain events. The expected animal types to see here include the Giraffes, Hippos, Baboons, Topis, Zebras, waterbucks, as well as Impalas. Then driving to one of your chosen Safari lodge for checkup, and Meals. Later, begin with a 2-hours boat ride on Lake Ihema in the Akagera National Park. Finally, drive back to your Safari Hotels for a dinner till tomorrow
Day 2: Full day Game drive in the Northern section
An Early breakfast, with your packed lunch, bottled water. Then, drive to the Northern section of the park thru the mutumba hill as you explore different of animal types. (Savannah woodlands and Open Savannah grasslands). Afterward your Lunch in the Open plains, continue seeing the Elands, Buffalos, and Maasai Giraffes. Later, drive back to your preferred hotel / safari lodges
Day 3: Travel to Volcanoes National Park
An Early breakfast, and then take off for a 4 hrs drive from Akagera National Park thru Kigali city to Volcanoes National Park the home of the Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. Lunch will be enroute and several pauses will be taken as you view the Volcanoes mountains for picture moments and of course the 1000 rolling hills of Rwanda and valleys. Then, you’ll check back into your preferred lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Full Day Gorilla trekking at Volcanoes National Park
This is a fully packed day. Breakfast from our lodge, (packed lunch) food with at least a litter of bottled water per person, Walking stick on you, rain jackets, long waterproof pants tucked in socks, with strong walking boots and a small backpack.
Continue to the briefing center and make registration, get grouped in a Gorilla family to track. Continue to the starting section for the day’s adventure. you need to have it in mind, that sometimes the tracking can take less than 1hr or may even take a full day.
Return later, for a graduation where you will receive a certificate from the Volcanoes National Park confirming participation in the Rwandan Gorilla tracking. Check back into your preferred lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Visit Iby’iwacu Cultural Village
Morning Ibyiwacu Cultural visit, Later, you’ll Visit Gisenyi for relaxation. And then head for the Gorilla walking in the Volcanoes National Park. Then, 6 Day Rwanda Gorilla tracking you’ll visit the cultural village of ibyiwacu for a great show from a replica of the Kings palace of Nyanza and you’ll become a king or queen for the day.
Later, you’ll have performances such as Kinyarwanda, traditional marriage, the medicine man, the blacksmith and the local food grinding on a carved stone. A 1 hr. drive to Gisenyi and have a city tour. Drive along Lake Kivu Overlooking the Democratic Republic of Congo with a relaxation and swimming in the white sand beach.
Day 6: Explore Lake Kivu and travel back to Kigali 6Day Rwanda Gorilla tracking
After the tour of Lake Kivu, embark on your return trip to Kigali with a drive around town and later continue to Kigali International Airport for your return trip back home or onward trip.
