This 3-Day Kibale Primate Safari is designed for travelers who have limited time but want to experience chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park. Kibale Forest National Park:
Specifically known for its remarkable chimpanzee population, Kibale Forest allows visitors to go chimpanzee tracking and observe these primates in their natural habitat. It’s an enriching experience to learn about the behavior of these intelligent creatures and witness their interactions. However you will engage in more exciting activities like the Bigodi wetland swamp walk. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is a fascinating eco-tourism activity located near Kibale Forest National Park in Uganda. Furthermore, it is a community-based initiative that offers visitors a chance to explore the unique wetland ecosystem of Bigodi and encounter its diverse flora and fauna.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park in Western Uganda. The highlight of the park is the chimpanzee, our closest relative. Keep an eye out for black-and-white colobus monkeys as you enjoy the scenic drive to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 2:chimpanzee tracking
After breakfast, head to the Kibale National Park offices for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking. This tropical rainforest is home to 13 different primate species, including chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and the rare l’Hoest’s monkey. After a morning of chimpanzee tracking, enjoy lunch and take a short walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you can spot more primates, butterflies, and over 200 bird species. Later, a resident primatologist will join you for a special talk.
